Name: Baithazar (it means Protector of the King)
Height: 6'0 relaxed. 6'2 at full height (appears 6'4 because of horns)
Species: Jacob [link]
Occupation: Royal Guard of the Glen Kingdom
Personality: Baithazar (or Baith) is your typical faun. He loves his drinks, his food, his dance and his fun. But when duty calls, you won't find anyone more serious about his job than Baith. He keeps a sharp eye on anything and anyone that comes within the kingdom. And Glob forbid you happen to be a predator of any kind, and especially a wolf. His disdain towards the canis lupis is as obvious as the scars on his face and the horns on his head. He's the sort to say what's on his mind, no matter who or what you are (which has gotten him into trouble more often than naught). Though amongst his friends and family, he's a good guy, who loves a good laugh and especially loves to tease and joke around. But he's quick to temper when crossed and very proud, so its better to want to keep him on your good side, rather than your bad.
Background: He's always known he wanted to be a guard since he was a kid. His father was one, and his grandfather, and so on. In his blood, flowed a long line of guards for the kingdom, and he's always been proud of that fact. He practically considered himself invincible. Then one day, while out playing with some other kids, they had wandered a bit too far from the safety of the kingdom. And it was then, that the wolves came. It was a rather large pack, and winter had just ended, and they were hungry. It all happened so fast; a bleat of surprise, followed by that of pain as one of his friends were taken down. The other kids began to run and he along with them. And to his horror, his friends, one by one, were taken down. A few that were already ahead had managed to make it to the safety of the kingdom and were calling for help, but Baith was not fast enough and he was soon taken down. Two wolves began to bite at him, claw and try to subdue their prey, and Baith held them off as long as one so young could, until some guards managed to come and scare them off. How he survived the encounter, he didn't know. He was terribly wounded, his body gouged by the sharp fangs and claws and had lost a lot of blood. It was a miracle in itself that he lived, but it left him with his fear of wolves, which turned in to hate and mistrust as he grew older. And he swore never to allow that to happen again; to himself and to anyone of the kingdom, regardless of the treaty. In his eyes: a predator was a predator.
((So this is for
contest. He's actually part Jacob and part Nubian (his mothers side). And in case you were wondering about the spirals in his horns, I felt like since they were artisans, carving into ones horns was a form of decoration and possibly even rank? I don't know. But carvings in horns. Yes. Just yes. And those scars are from when he was attacked. Oh... and see the black fur... it's wolf fur. Yup. Wolf. Fuuuuur.
He really hates wolves, yo
So here's my poor excuse of a faun. Damn, them legs killed me. LOL))
